I love mirrorless cameras because they're small, use interchangeable lenses, and are capable of great results for both still and video. This one has two features that video producers will like: a tiltable touch screen monitor (180° for selfies or recording yourself), and a microphone input, an absolute necessity if you don't want to be carrying a separate audio recording system. It has built-in wireless connectivity including Wi-Fi1, NFC2 and Bluetooth3. This is a 1080p 60fps camera, not a 4K. Thus the nearly $750 reduction in prices from manufacturer's list. The camera had digital stabilization and relies on the kit and other compatible lenses for optical stabilization.
This is a great starter mirrorless camera, and has many affordable lenses made for it by Canon. It has all of Canon's distinguishing features, from 49-point dual-pixel focus, Digic 7 image processor, 5 function dials, many presets and manual operation as well. It features 7 fps shooting for sports sequentials. Video is saved as mp4.
This camera is terrific for shooting your own tutorials, interviews, beauty, nature, and events in both still and video. At this price, you're getting in at a $1000 plus level, for less than half the price.
